Traditionally, mezuzot are placed in any doorway in a home except the kitchen, bathroom and storeroom. In Talmudic times, it was thought that a mezuzah provided protective powers, and artistic mezuzah cases are frequently given as gifts for weddings and other special occasions.
Mezuzah measures approximately 1" L (2.5 cm) and comes on an 18" L (45.7 cm) sterling rope chain. Handmade in Israel.
